Olives

Method

Preparation

1

Prepare the olives

In a medium bowl, combine the mixed olives. Make sure to include both green and black varieties for a balanced flavor.

2

Add olive oil

Pour the olive oil over the olives, ensuring they are well-coated. This will help to infuse the flavors.

3

Incorporate herbs and citrus

Add the fresh thyme and citrus peel to the bowl with the olives and olive oil. Gently toss to combine all the ingredients.

4

Add vinegar

Drizzle the cabernet vinegar over the olive mixture and toss again to ensure even distribution of flavors.

Heating

5

Warm the mixture

Transfer the olive mixture to a small saucepan and heat over low heat. Stir occasionally for about 5-7 minutes, until the olives are warmed through but not boiling.

6

Serve

Once warmed, remove from heat and transfer to a serving dish. Serve immediately, either warm or at room temperature.
