Cooking the Pasta

Boil Water
Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil.

Cook Bucatini
Add the bucatini to the boiling water and cook according to package instructions until al dente, usually about 8-10 minutes.

Drain Pasta
Reserve 1 cup of pasta water, then drain the bucatini and set aside.
Making the Sauce

Heat Olive Oil
In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat.

Sauté Garlic
Add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 1 minute.

Cook Shrimp
Add the shrimp and cook until they turn pink, about 2-3 minutes.

Simmer Sauce
Stir in the crushed tomatoes, chili paste, salt, and black pepper. Allow the sauce to simmer for about 5-7 minutes.
Combining Ingredients

Combine Pasta and Sauce
Add the drained bucatini to the skillet with the sauce. Toss gently to combine, adding reserved pasta water as needed to reach desired consistency.

Remove from heat and stir in fresh basil leaves.
Serving

Plate the bucatini and top with shaved Parmesan cheese and a drizzle of agrumato olive oil.
