Method
Garlic Herb Oil Preparation
- 1
Prepare the Garlic Herb Oil
In a small saucepan, combine the olive oil, minced garlic, chopped parsley, dried oregano, salt, and black pepper. Heat over low until the garlic is fragrant, about 5 minutes. Remove from heat and let cool.
Cheese and Olive Preparation
- 2
Prepare the Cheese and Olives
While the garlic herb oil is cooling, grate the Parmigiano-Reggiano cheese using a box grater or food processor. Place the cheese in a serving bowl. In another bowl, arrange the mixed olives.
Balsamic Reduction Preparation
- 3
Prepare the Balsamic Reduction
In a small saucepan, bring the balsamic vinegar to a gentle boil over medium heat. Reduce the heat to low and let simmer until it thickens, about 10-15 minutes. Remove from heat and let cool.
Assembly
- 4
Assemble the Bread Platter
On a large serving platter, drizzle the garlic herb oil generously over the space. Add the bowl of grated Parmigiano-Reggiano cheese and the arrangement of mixed olives. Finally, drizzle the balsamic reduction on top of the cheese and olives or serve it on the side for dipping.
