Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Fish

Rinse the striped bass fillets under cold water and pat them dry with paper towels. Place them in a shallow dish.

  2. 2

    Marinate the Fillets

In a small bowl, combine olive oil, minced garlic (press or finely chop), fresh thyme, juice of half a lemon, salt, and black pepper. Mix well and pour the marinade over the fish fillets. Let them marinate for at least 30 minutes at room temperature.

  3. 3

    Preheat the Oven

Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) while the fish is marinating.

  4. 4

    Prepare the Baking Dish

Line a baking dish with parchment paper or lightly grease it with olive oil to prevent sticking.

  5. 5

    Bake the Fish

Transfer the marinated striped bass fillets to the prepared baking dish. Slice the remaining half of the lemon and place the slices on top of the fillets. Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until the fish flakes easily with a fork.

  6. 6

    Serve

Remove the striped bass from the oven and let it rest for 2-3 minutes. Serve warm, garnished with additional fresh thyme if desired.
