Instructions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Orange Juice

Juice the fresh oranges until you have about 4 cups of juice. Strain the juice to remove any pulp and seeds.

  2. 2

    Make the Syrup

In a saucepan, combine the water and sugar. Heat over medium heat, stirring until the sugar is fully dissolved. Remove from heat and let it cool.

  3. 3

    Combine Ingredients

In a large mixing bowl, combine the orange juice, the cooled sugar syrup, lemon juice, orange zest, and a pinch of salt. Mix well.

  4. 4

    Chill the Mixture

Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or until well chilled.

  5. 5

    Freeze the Sorbetto

Pour the chilled mixture into an ice cream maker and churn according to the manufacturer's instructions until it reaches a soft-serve consistency. Transfer to an airtight container and freeze for at least 4 hours before serving.

  6. 6

    Serve

Scoop the sorbetto into bowls or cones and enjoy!
