Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Sauce

In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add diced onion and sauté until translucent, about 5 minutes.

  2. 2

    Add Garlic and Spices

Stir in minced garlic, ground cumin, smoked paprika, and cinnamon. Cook for an additional 2 minutes until fragrant.

  3. 3

    Add Tomatoes and Chickpeas

Pour in the crushed tomatoes and add the chickpeas. Stir well to combine and bring to a simmer. Reduce heat and let it cook for about 10 minutes.

  4. 4

    Add Calabrian Chili

Stir in the Calabrian chili paste and season with salt and pepper to taste.

  5. 5

    Add Eggs

Make small wells in the sauce and crack an egg into each well. Cover the skillet and cook until the eggs are set to your liking, about 5-7 minutes.

  6. 6

    Finish with Feta and Parsley

Sprinkle the crumbled feta cheese and chopped parsley over the dish just before serving.

  7. 7

    Serve

Serve hot with slices of fett'unta or toasted bread on the side.
