Fried Olives

Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Olives

Using a small knife, carefully stuff each pitted olive with goat cheese until filled.

  2. 2

    Set Up Breading Station

In three separate bowls, place flour in the first, beaten eggs in the second, and breadcrumbs mixed with salt and pepper in the third.

  3. 3

    Bread the Olives

Dip each stuffed olive first in flour, then in the egg, and finally coat with breadcrumbs. Set aside on a plate.

  4. 4

    Heat Oil

In a deep frying pan, heat vegetable oil over medium-high heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C).

  5. 5

    Fry the Olives

Carefully add the breaded olives to the hot oil in batches, frying for about 3-4 minutes or until golden brown. Remove with a slotted spoon and drain on paper towels.

  6. 6

    Drizzle with Honey

Once fried, drizzle the olives with Kailua honey for a sweet finish before serving.
