Method

Preparation and Cooking

  1. 1

    Prepare the Ribs

Remove the membrane from the back of the ribs and trim any excess fat. Rinse under cold water and pat dry with paper towels.

  2. 2

    Season the Ribs

In a small bowl, mix together the salt, black pepper, paprika, brown sugar, garlic powder, onion powder, and cayenne pepper. Rub the spice mixture generously over both sides of the ribs.

  3. 3

    Cook the Ribs

Preheat your grill or smoker to 225°F (107°C). Place the ribs bone side down on the grill and cook for about 3 hours, maintaining a steady temperature.

  4. 4

    Glaze with BBQ Sauce

After 3 hours, brush the ribs with BBQ sauce and continue to cook for an additional 1 hour, basting with more sauce every 20 minutes.

  5. 5

    Rest and Serve

Remove the ribs from the grill and let them rest for 10-15 minutes before slicing. Serve with additional BBQ sauce on the side.
