Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Ribs

Preheat your smoker to 225°F (107°C). Remove the membrane from the back of the ribs and trim any excess fat.

  2. 2

    Make the Rub

In a bowl, mix together brown sugar, paprika, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and cayenne pepper.

  3. 3

    Season the Ribs

Generously rub the spice mixture all over the ribs, ensuring they are well coated.

  4. 4

    Smoke the Ribs

Place the ribs in the smoker bone side down, and add hickory wood chips to the smoking box. Smoke the ribs for approximately 4-5 hours, or until they are tender and the meat pulls away from the bone.

  5. 5

    Glaze with BBQ Sauce

During the last hour of cooking, brush the ribs with BBQ sauce every 15-20 minutes to create a sticky glaze.

  6. 6

    Rest and Serve

Once cooked, remove the ribs from the smoker and let them rest for 10-15 minutes before cutting into portions. Serve with garlic bread and your choice of two sides.
