Chicken and Marinade

Method

Preparation and Cooking

  1. 1

    Marinate the Chicken

In a large bowl, combine olive oil, garlic powder, paprika, salt, black pepper, and lemon juice. Mix well. Add the whole chicken to the bowl, ensuring it is well coated with the marinade. Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour, or overnight for best results.

  2. 2

    Preheat the Oven

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

  3. 3

    Roast the Chicken

Place the marinated chicken in a roasting pan. Roast in the preheated oven for about 1 hour and 15 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C). Baste the chicken with the pan juices every 30 minutes.

  4. 4

    Rest and Serve

Once cooked, remove the chicken from the oven and let it rest for 10-15 minutes before carving. Serve half of the chicken on a platter with your choice of sides.
