Brisket Platter Ingredients

Method

Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Brisket

Trim any excess fat from the brisket and season it with salt, black pepper, paprika, and brown sugar. Rub the seasonings all over the brisket.

  2. 2

    Sear the Brisket

In a large skillet or Dutch oven, heat a small amount of oil over medium-high heat. Sear the brisket on all sides until browned, about 4-5 minutes per side.

  3. 3

    Cook the Brisket

Add sliced onion, minced garlic, beef broth, and Worcestershire sauce to the pot. Bring to a simmer, then cover and reduce heat to low. Cook for 3-4 hours or until the brisket is tender.

  4. 4

    Slice the Brisket

Once cooked, remove the brisket from the pot and let it rest for 15 minutes before slicing against the grain into 1/4-inch thick slices.

  5. 5

    Serve

Arrange the sliced brisket on a platter, drizzle with BBQ sauce, and garnish with fresh parsley. Serve with your choice of sides.
