Method

Preparing the Meats

  1. 1

    Marinate and Cook the Chicken

Marinate the halved chicken in your favorite BBQ sauce for at least 1 hour. Preheat your grill and cook the chicken over medium heat for 30-35 minutes, turning occasionally, until fully cooked.

  2. 2

    Cook the Ribs

Season the ribs with salt and pepper, and brush with BBQ sauce. Grill over indirect heat for 1.5 to 2 hours, until tender, basting with more sauce halfway through.

  3. 3

Prepare the Beef or Pulled Pork

If using brisket, season with salt and pepper, then smoke or grill until it reaches your desired doneness (about 1-1.5 hours). If using pulled pork, cook in a slow cooker with BBQ sauce for 8 hours or until tender.

Making the Garlic Bread

  1. 4

    Prepare the Garlic Butter

In a small bowl, mix together the softened butter, minced garlic, and chopped parsley. Slice the French bread in half lengthwise.

  2. 5

    Apply the Garlic Butter

Spread the garlic butter mixture evenly onto the cut sides of the French bread. Wrap in foil.

  3. 6

    Toast the Bread

Place the wrapped bread on the grill during the last 10-15 minutes of cooking time for the meats. This will allow it to toast and absorb some of the BBQ flavors.

Serving the Platter

  1. 7

    Plate the Meats

Once cooked, slice the beef brisket or pulled pork, and arrange the chicken, ribs, and beef on a large platter.

  2. 8

    Add the Sides

Spoon the coleslaw and baked beans onto the platter or serve in separate bowls.

  3. 9

    Serve with Garlic Bread

Remove the garlic bread from the foil, slice, and serve alongside the meats and sides. Enjoy your BBQ Variety Platter!
