Salad and Meat

Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Cook the Meats

Preheat your grill or smoker. Season the brisket and pork shoulder with salt and pepper. Cook the brisket for about 1.5 hours and the pork for about 4 hours, or until they reach the desired tenderness. Once done, let them rest for 15 minutes before slicing.

  2. 2

    Prepare the Salad Base

While the meats are cooking, chop the romaine lettuce, slice the cherry tomatoes in half, dice the red onion, and slice the cucumber. In a large bowl, combine these ingredients.

  3. 3

    Add Cheese and Chips

Add the shredded cheddar cheese and corn chips to the salad mixture for extra flavor and crunch.

  4. 4

    Combine with BBQ Sauce

Once the meats have rested, slice them thinly and mix with the BBQ sauce. Add the meat mixture on top of the salad base.

  5. 5

    Garnish and Serve

Top the salad with fresh cilantro and serve immediately while the meat is warm.
