1. Make the Dough

In a bowl, combine warm water, sugar, and yeast. Let it sit for 5-10 minutes until foamy. In a large mixing bowl, combine flour and salt. Make a well in the center, add the yeast mixture and olive oil. Mix until a dough forms.

2. Knead the Dough

Turn the dough onto a floured surface and knead for about 8-10 minutes until smooth and elastic. Place in a greased bowl, cover with a cloth, and let it rise in a warm place for 1 hour, or until doubled in size.

3. Preheat the Oven

Preheat your oven to 475°F (245°C) while the dough is rising.

4. Prepare the Pizza

Once the dough has risen, punch it down and roll it out on a floured surface to your desired thickness. Transfer to a pizza stone or a baking sheet. Spread pizza sauce evenly over the dough, then sprinkle mozzarella cheese on top. Add your desired toppings.

5. Bake the Pizza

Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the cheese is bubbly.

6. Garnish and Serve

Remove from the oven, garnish with fresh basil leaves, slice, and serve hot.
