Prepare the Meat

Cooking Ground Beef (if chosen)
In a skillet over medium heat, add the ground beef. Cook, breaking it apart with a spatula until browned and fully cooked, about 7-10 minutes. Drain excess grease and season with salt and pepper to taste.

Preparing Shredded Chicken (if chosen)
If using cooked chicken, shred it using two forks or your hands. You may season it with taco seasoning for added flavor.
Assemble the Nachos

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). On a large baking sheet, spread out the corn tortilla chips in an even layer. Top with cooked ground beef or shredded chicken as per your choice.

Adding Cheese
Sprinkle the shredded cheddar and Monterey Jack cheese evenly over the chips and meat.

Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven and bake for about 10-15 minutes or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
