Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Ingredients

Gather all your ingredients and chop or slice the fillings you have chosen. If using vegetables, make sure they are diced or sliced into small pieces for even cooking.

Cooking the Omelette

  1. 2

    Whisk the Eggs

In a bowl, crack the 3 eggs and add the salt and black pepper. Whisk them together until fully combined and slightly frothy.

  2. 3

    Heat the Pan

In a non-stick skillet, melt 1 tablespoon of butter over medium heat. Make sure the butter coats the bottom of the pan evenly.

  3. 4

    Pour in the Eggs

Once the butter is melted and bubbling, pour the whisked eggs into the skillet. Swirl the pan gently to ensure the eggs spread evenly.

  4. 5

    Add Fillings

As the eggs start to set around the edges, sprinkle your chosen fillings on one half of the omelette. You can use any combination of fillings you prefer.

  5. 6

    Fold the Omelette

When the eggs are mostly set but still slightly runny in the center, carefully fold the omelette in half over the fillings using a spatula.

  6. 7

    Finish Cooking

Cook for an additional minute or until the omelette is fully set and the fillings are warmed through. You can cover the skillet with a lid to help the cooking process.

  7. 8

    Serve

Gently slide the omelette onto a plate. You can garnish with additional herbs, cheese, or fresh vegetables if desired. Serve hot.
