Method

Cooking the Grits

1

Prepare the Grits

In a medium saucepan, bring 4 cups of water to a boil. Add 1 cup of grits, reduce the heat to low, and stir occasionally. Cook for about 20-25 minutes until thickened.

2

Add Milk and Cheese

Once the grits are cooked, stir in 1 cup of milk, 1 cup of cheddar cheese, and 2 tablespoons of butter. Mix well until the cheese is melted and the mixture is creamy.

Cooking the Bacon

3

Cook the Bacon

In a large skillet over medium heat, add 6 slices of bacon. Cook until crispy, about 5-7 minutes on each side. Remove the bacon and place it on paper towels to drain excess grease.

Cooking the Eggs

4

Scramble the Eggs

In the same skillet, drain off excess bacon grease, leaving about 1 tablespoon. Crack 4 eggs into the skillet, season with salt, black pepper, paprika, and garlic powder. Scramble the eggs over medium heat until fully cooked, about 3-4 minutes.
