Chicken Marinade
Sandwich Assembly
Method
Marinating the Chicken
- 1
Prepare the Marinade
In a small bowl, mix together olive oil, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper.
- 2
Marinate the Chicken
Place the chicken breasts in a resealable plastic bag or shallow dish. Pour the marinade over the chicken, making sure it’s evenly coated. Seal the bag or cover the dish and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes, or up to 2 hours for more flavor.
Grilling the Chicken
- 3
Preheat the Grill
Preheat your grill to medium-high heat (about 375°F or 190°C).
- 4
Grill the Chicken
Remove the chicken from the marinade and discard the marinade. Grill the chicken for about 6-7 minutes on each side, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C).
- 5
Let it Rest
Once cooked, remove the chicken from the grill and let it rest for 5 minutes before slicing.
Assembling the Sandwich
- 6
Prepare the Vegetables
While the chicken is resting, wash and slice the tomato. Set aside.
- 7
Assemble the Sandwich
Spread mayonnaise on the inside of each sandwich bun. Place a lettuce leaf on the bottom half of each bun, followed by the grilled chicken breast. Top with tomato slices, then place the top half of the bun over the sandwich.
Serving
- 8
Serve the Sandwich
Cut the sandwich in half if desired, and serve immediately. Enjoy your grilled chicken sandwich!
