Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Wash and Prepare Apples

Thoroughly wash the apples under running water to remove any dirt or pesticides. Remove the stems and cut the apples into quarters, leaving the skins on.

  2. 2

    Juicing the Apples

Place the quartered apples into a juicer. If you don’t have a juicer, you can use a blender. If using a blender, add the 2 cups of water to help blend the apples smoothly. Blend until the apples are fully pureed.

Straining and Sweetening

  1. 3

    Strain the Juice

Using a fine mesh strainer or cheesecloth, strain the pureed apple mixture into a large bowl or pitcher. Use the back of a spoon to press the pulp and extract as much juice as possible.

  2. 4

    Add Sweeteners

Stir in 1 cup of granulated sugar and 2 tablespoons of lemon juice into the strained apple juice until fully dissolved. Taste the juice and adjust sweetness, adding more sugar if desired.

Chilling and Serving

  1. 5

    Chill the Juice

Refrigerate the apple juice for at least 1 hour before serving to allow it to chill and for flavors to meld.

  2. 6

    Serve

Serve the chilled apple juice in glasses over ice if desired. Enjoy your refreshing Arden's Garden Apple Juice!
