Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Mashed Potatoes

In a large pot, boil the peeled and cubed potatoes in salted water until tender, about 15 minutes. Drain and return to the pot. Add milk and butter, then mash until smooth. Set aside.

  2. 2

    Cook the Meat Mixture

In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add chopped onions and garlic, and sauté until softened, about 5 minutes. Add ground lamb and beef, cooking until browned, about 7-10 minutes. Drain excess fat.

  3. 3

    Add Vegetables and Seasonings

Stir in the diced carrots, frozen peas, beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and black pepper. Let simmer for 10 minutes until the mixture thickens slightly.

  4. 4

    Assemble the Shepherd's Pie

Preheat your oven to 200°C (400°F). In a baking dish, layer the meat mixture evenly at the bottom. Top with the mashed potatoes, spreading it out evenly to cover the meat.

  5. 5

    Bake

Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the top is golden brown. Let cool for a few minutes before serving.
