Preparation Steps
- 1
Prepare the Filling
In a mixing bowl, combine ground pork, finely chopped green onions, minced garlic, grated ginger, soy sauce, sesame oil, black pepper, and shredded cabbage. Mix well until all ingredients are thoroughly combined.
- 2
Fill the Dumplings
Take a dumpling wrapper and place a spoonful of the filling in the center. Moisten the edges of the wrapper with a little water, fold in half to create a semicircle, and pinch the edges to seal. Optionally, pleat the edges for a decorative finish. Repeat until all wrappers are filled.
- 3
Cook the Dumplings
Heat vegetable oil in a non-stick skillet over medium heat. Once hot, place the dumplings in the skillet, flat side down. Cook for 2-3 minutes until the bottoms are golden brown. Add a small amount of water (about 1/4 cup), cover the skillet, and steam the dumplings for 5-6 minutes or until cooked through.
- 4
Serve
Remove the lid and allow any remaining water to evaporate. Serve the dumplings warm with your favorite dipping sauce.
