(Forget everything you’ve heard about squid) Breaded tender small squid, gently pan fried in olive oil and a special blend of herbs and spices. Served with a touch of lemon. Delicious.

Method
Instructions for Cooking Calamari
- 1
Prepare the Coating
In a large bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, cornstarch, salt, black pepper, paprika, garlic powder, and dried oregano. Mix well to create a uniform coating.
- 2
Coat the Squid
Take the cleaned squid rings and toss them in the flour mixture until evenly coated. Shake off any excess flour.
- 3
Heat the Oil
In a large frying pan, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat until shimmering.
- 4
Fry the Squid
Carefully add the coated squid rings to the hot oil in batches. Fry for about 2-3 minutes or until golden brown and crispy. Avoid overcrowding the pan.
- 5
Drain and Serve
Using a slotted spoon, transfer the fried calamari to a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil. Squeeze fresh lemon juice over the top and serve immediately with lemon wedges.
