1. Prepare the Patties
In a large bowl, combine the ground beef with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Mix gently and form into 6 equal-sized patties.
2. Cook the Patties
Heat a skillet or griddle over medium-high heat. Cook 3 patties at a time for about 3-4 minutes on one side.
3. Flip and Add Cheese
Flip the patties and immediately place a slice of cheddar cheese on each patty. Cook for another 3-4 minutes until the cheese is melted and patties are cooked through.
4. Assemble the Burger
Toast the burger buns lightly. Place one cheese-covered patty on the bottom bun, then stack another patty on top, followed by the third patty. Add ketchup, mustard, and pickles on top before placing the top bun.
5. Serve
Serve immediately with a side of fries.
