Method

Crostini Preparation

1

Slice the Baguette

Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Slice the baguette into 1/2 inch thick slices.

2

Brush with Olive Oil

Lay the sliced baguette on a baking sheet and brush both sides lightly with olive oil.

3

Bake the Crostini

Bake in the preheated oven for about 5-7 minutes, or until they are golden and crispy. Remove from oven and let cool.

Steak Preparation

4

Season the Steak

While the crostini are baking, season the steak with salt and black pepper on both sides.

5

Cook the Steak

Heat a skillet over medium-high heat. Add the seasoned steak and cook for about 4-5 minutes per side for medium-rare, or to your desired doneness.

6

Rest the Steak

Once cooked, remove the steak from the skillet and let it rest for 5 minutes before slicing thinly against the grain.

Bleu Cheese Cream Preparation

7

Combine Ingredients

In a mixing bowl, combine the cream cheese, bleu cheese, sour cream, garlic powder, and milk.

8

Blend Until Smooth

Use a hand mixer or a whisk to blend the ingredients together until smooth and creamy. Adjust consistency with more milk if necessary.

Assembly

9

Spread the Cream

Take each crostini and spread a generous amount of bleu cheese cream on top.

10

Add the Steak

Place a few slices of the rested steak on top of the cream.

11

Garnish with Scallions

Finely chop the scallions and sprinkle them over the steak. Serve immediately.
