Crabcake Ingredients
Spicy Samurai Sauce Ingredients
Method
Crabcake Preparation
Mix the Ingredients
In a large mixing bowl, gently combine the lump crab meat, mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, Old Bay seasoning, egg, breadcrumbs, chopped green onions, salt, and black pepper. Be careful not to break up the crab meat too much.
Form the Crabcakes
Using your hands, form the mixture into small patties, about 2-3 inches in diameter. Place the formed crabcakes on a plate or baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
Chill the Crabcakes
Cover the crabcakes with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to help them hold their shape during cooking.
Cooking the Crabcakes
Heat the Oil
In a large skillet, heat the vegetable oil over medium heat until shimmering.
Cook the Crabcakes
Carefully place the crabcakes in the skillet, working in batches if necessary. Cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side or until golden brown and crispy.
Drain Excess Oil
Once cooked, transfer the crabcakes to a plate lined with paper towels to drain any excess oil.
Spicy Samurai Sauce Preparation
Combine Sauce Ingredients
In a small bowl, mix together the mayonnaise, Sriracha sauce, soy sauce, lime juice, and garlic powder until well combined.
Adjust to Taste
Taste the sauce and adjust the flavors as necessary, adding more Sriracha for spice or more lime juice for acidity.
Serving
Plate the Crabcakes
Serve the crabcakes warm, drizzled with the Spicy Samurai Sauce or with the sauce on the side for dipping.
