Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Fruits

Wash the oranges, lemons, limes, and peaches thoroughly. Slice the oranges, lemons, and limes into thin rounds. Cut the peaches into wedges or slices. If using strawberries, hull them and slice them in half.

  2. 2

    Mix the Base

In a large pitcher, pour in the red or white wine, depending on your preference. If making a mixed batch, combine both wines.

  3. 3

    Add the Sweeteners

Add the orange juice, simple syrup, and brandy to the pitcher with the wine. Stir well to combine all ingredients.

  4. 4

    Add the Fruits

Add the prepared fruits (oranges, lemons, limes, peaches, and berries) to the pitcher. Stir gently to mix the fruits into the sangria.

  5. 5

    Add the Cinnamon

Place the cinnamon stick into the pitcher for added flavor. Let the mixture sit in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours, preferably overnight, to allow the flavors to meld.

Serving

  1. 6

    Serve the Sangria

When ready to serve, add the club soda or lemon-lime soda to the pitcher and stir gently. Pour into glasses filled with ice and garnish with extra fruit slices if desired.
