Method

Prepare the Shrimp

  1. 1

    Boil the Shrimp

In a large pot, bring 4 cups of water to a boil. Add the halved lemons and Old Bay seasoning.

  2. 2

    Cook the Shrimp

Once the water is boiling, add the jumbo shrimp. Cook for 2-3 minutes, or until the shrimp turn pink and opaque.

  3. 3

    Ice Bath

Immediately remove the shrimp and place them in a bowl of ice water to stop the cooking process. Let them cool for about 5 minutes.

  4. 4

    Drain and Chill

Drain the shrimp and place them on a platter or serving dish. Refrigerate until ready to serve.

Make the Cocktail Sauce

  1. 5

    Combine Ingredients

In a bowl, mix together the ketchup, prepared horseradish, lemon juice, Worcestershire sauce, and Tabasco sauce. Adjust the Tabasco to taste for desired spiciness.

  2. 6

    Chill the Sauce

Cover the cocktail sauce and refrigerate for at least 15 minutes to let the flavors meld.

Serve

  1. 7

    Garnish

Before serving, sprinkle the chopped parsley over the shrimp and arrange lemon wedges on the platter.

  2. 8

    Serve with Sauce

Serve the shrimp chilled with the cocktail sauce on the side.
