Main Ingredients

Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Preheat the Oven

Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C). This high temperature will help achieve a crispy texture.

  2. 2

    Prepare the Brussels Sprouts

Trim the ends of the Brussels sprouts and remove any yellow or damaged leaves. Cut each sprout in half from top to bottom.

Cooking

  1. 3

    Season the Brussels Sprouts

In a large bowl, toss the halved Brussels sprouts with olive oil, salt, and black pepper until evenly coated.

  2. 4

    Roast the Brussels Sprouts

Spread the seasoned Brussels sprouts onto a baking sheet in a single layer. Roast in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, shaking the pan halfway through, until they are golden brown and crisp.

  3. 5

    Add Maple Sugar

Once the Brussels sprouts are crispy, remove them from the oven and sprinkle with maple sugar. Toss to combine and return to the oven for an additional 5 minutes to allow the sugar to caramelize.

Serving

  1. 6

    Serve

Transfer the crispy Brussels sprouts to a serving dish and serve immediately with lemon wedges on the side for squeezing over the top.
