Cappuccino Ingredients

Method

Cappuccino Preparation

  1. 1

    Brew Espresso

Start by brewing a fresh shot of espresso using an espresso machine. If you don't have an espresso machine, you can use a stovetop espresso maker as an alternative.

  2. 2

    Steam Milk

While the espresso is brewing, heat your milk in a steaming pitcher. Use a steam wand if you have one, or heat it on the stove until hot but not boiling. The goal is to create a smooth texture without large bubbles.

  3. 3

    Froth Milk

Once the milk is steamed, use the steam wand or a handheld frother to create a thick layer of foam on top of the steamed milk. The foam should be velvety and should hold its shape when spooned.

  4. 4

    Combine Ingredients

In a coffee cup, pour the shot of brewed espresso. Then, slowly add the steamed milk, allowing it to mix with the espresso. Finally, spoon the foamed milk on top to create a layered effect.

  5. 5

    Add Flavorings

Sprinkle cocoa powder or cinnamon on top of the foam. You can also add sugar and a dash of vanilla extract for extra flavor, adjusting to your taste preferences.

  6. 6

    Serve

Serve your cappuccino immediately while hot. Enjoy it as is or accompany it with a sweet treat.
