Main Ingredients

Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Ingredients

Gather all the ingredients you need for the turkey melt: turkey breast slices, Swiss cheese, lettuce, tomato, bacon, hoagie bun, and mayonnaise.

  2. 2

    Cook the Bacon

In a skillet over medium heat, cook the bacon slices until they are crispy. This should take about 4-5 minutes. Once cooked, remove them from the skillet and place them on a paper towel to drain excess grease.

  3. 3

    Slice the Tomato

While the bacon is cooking, wash and slice the tomato into thin rounds.

  4. 4

    Prepare the Hoagie Bun

Slice the hoagie bun lengthwise but do not cut all the way through. This will create a pocket for the fillings.

Assembly

  1. 5

    Layer the Ingredients

Spread mayonnaise on both sides of the hoagie bun. Start layering with turkey slices, followed by Swiss cheese, crispy bacon, lettuce leaves, and sliced tomatoes.

Cooking

  1. 6

    Melt the Cheese

Preheat a grill or skillet over medium heat. Place the assembled turkey melt on the grill and cover. Cook for 3-4 minutes, or until the cheese has melted and the bun is slightly toasted.

  2. 7

    Serve

Remove the turkey melt from the grill. Cut it in half if desired and serve immediately. Enjoy your delicious turkey melt!
