Method

Preparation of Proteins

  1. 1

    Cooking Ground Beef

In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until browned and fully cooked, about 8-10 minutes. Drain excess fat and set aside.

  2. 2

    Preparing Shredded Chicken

If using pre-cooked shredded chicken, simply measure out 2 cups. If cooking from scratch, boil chicken breasts for 20-25 minutes until cooked through, then shred using two forks.

  3. 3

    Grilling Chicken

Season the chicken breasts with salt, pepper, and any desired spices. Grill over medium heat for 6-7 minutes per side until fully cooked. Slice into strips.

  4. 4

    Cooking Steak

Season steak with salt and pepper. Heat a grill or skillet over high heat and cook steak for 4-5 minutes per side for medium-rare. Let rest for a few minutes, then slice into strips.

Salad Assembly

  1. 5

    Prepare the Salad Base

In a large salad bowl, create a base of mixed greens. This should cover the bottom of the bowl generously.

  2. 6

    Add Vegetables

Chop tomatoes and cucumber. Scatter the chopped tomatoes, sliced cucumber, and Mexican corn evenly over the mixed greens.

  3. 7

    Incorporate Beans

Rinse the brown and black beans under cold water. Add them to the salad bowl, distributing evenly over the vegetables.

  4. 8

    Add Proteins

Choose your protein (ground beef, shredded chicken, grilled chicken, or steak) and add it to the top of the salad.

  5. 9

    Top with Cheese and Guacamole

Sprinkle the blend of cheeses over the salad, then add a generous scoop of guacamole on top.

Cooking Eggs and Bacon

  1. 10

    Cooking Eggs

Hard boil the eggs by placing them in a pot of water, bringing it to a boil, then covering and letting sit for 12 minutes. Cool in cold water, peel, and slice.

  2. 11

    Cooking Bacon

In a skillet over medium heat, cook the bacon until crispy, about 5-7 minutes. Drain on paper towels and chop into pieces.

Final Assembly

  1. 12

    Finish the Salad

Top the salad with the sliced hard-boiled eggs and crispy bacon. Serve immediately with your choice of dressing.
