Method
Pulled Pork
- 1
Prepare the Pork
Rub the pork shoulder with the pork rub evenly on all sides. Let it marinate for at least 1 hour or overnight in the refrigerator for best results.
- 2
Cook the Pork
Place the marinated pork shoulder in a slow cooker. Add apple cider vinegar and water. Cover and cook on low for 8-10 hours or until the pork is tender and easily shreds with a fork.
- 3
Shred the Pork
Once cooked, remove the pork from the slow cooker and let it rest for 10 minutes. Use two forks to shred the pork into bite-sized pieces and mix in BBQ sauce.
Coleslaw
- 4
Prepare the Coleslaw Mix
In a large bowl, combine shredded green cabbage and shredded carrots.
- 5
Make the Dressing
In a separate bowl, whisk together mayonnaise, apple cider vinegar, sugar, salt, and black pepper until smooth.
- 6
Combine Coleslaw
Pour the dressing over the cabbage and carrots. Toss until the vegetables are well coated. Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes before serving.

- 7
Assemble the Sandwich
Split the hamburger buns in half. On the bottom half, add a generous amount of pulled pork, followed by a scoop of coleslaw. Drizzle extra BBQ sauce on top if desired. Place the top half of the bun on and serve.
