Preparation

  1. 1

    Marinate the Proteins

In a bowl, combine olive oil, salt, black pepper, cumin, and chili powder. Add the grilled chicken and steak, ensuring they are well coated. Let them marinate for at least 30 minutes.

  2. 2

    Prepare the Vegetables

Slice the onions and bell peppers into thin strips. Set aside.

Cooking

  1. 3

    Grill the Proteins

Preheat the grill to medium-high heat. Remove the proteins from the marinade and grill them for about 6-8 minutes on each side, or until cooked through. Remove from grill and let rest for 5 minutes before slicing.

  2. 4

    Sauté the Vegetables

In a skillet, heat a tablespoon of olive oil over medium heat. Add the sliced onions and bell peppers, cooking for about 5-7 minutes until they are tender and slightly caramelized.

Assembly

  1. 5

    Prepare the Fajita Bar

On a serving platter, arrange the grilled chicken and steak slices on a bed of sautéed onions and bell peppers. Serve alongside bowls of lettuce, pico de gallo, jalapeños, sour cream, and cheese.

  2. 6

    Serve with Tortillas

Warm the flour tortillas in a dry skillet for about 1-2 minutes on each side or until pliable. Serve them on the side for guests to build their own fajitas.
