Dough Preparation

Activate the Yeast
In a small bowl, combine warm water (1.5 cups) and sugar (2 tbs). Sprinkle the active dry yeast (2 tbs) over the water and let it sit for about 5-10 minutes until frothy.

In a large mixing bowl, whisk together all-purpose flour (4 cups) and salt (1 tsp).

Knead the Dough
Mix the ingredients until a dough forms. Knead on a floured surface for about 8-10 minutes until smooth and elastic.

Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a clean towel, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour or until doubled in size.
Shaping and Baking

Shape the Buns
After the dough has risen, punch it down and divide it into 12 equal pieces. Shape each piece into a ball and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

Cover the shaped buns with a towel and let them rise for another 30-45 minutes until puffy.

Preheat the Oven
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
