Method

Preparing the Ribs

  1. 1

    Prepping the Ribs

Preheat your smoker to 225°F (107°C). Remove the membrane from the back of the baby back ribs, if not already done.

  2. 2

    Seasoning the Ribs

In a small bowl, mix together salt, black pepper, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, and brown sugar. Rub this seasoning blend all over the ribs, ensuring they are well coated.

  3. 3

    Smoking the Ribs

Place the seasoned ribs in the smoker and smoke for approximately 4-5 hours, or until they reach an internal temperature of 195°F (90°C).

  4. 4

    Applying BBQ Sauce

During the last 30 minutes of smoking, brush the ribs with BBQ sauce to create a tasty glaze.

Preparing the Side Dish

  1. 5

    Making the Coleslaw

In a large bowl, combine coleslaw mix, mayonnaise, apple cider vinegar, sugar, salt, and black pepper. Mix well until all ingredients are fully combined.

  2. 6

    Chilling the Coleslaw

Cover the coleslaw and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes before serving to allow the flavors to meld.

Serving

  1. 7

    Serving the Ribs

Once the ribs are done smoking, remove them from the smoker and let them rest for 10 minutes before slicing into individual portions. Serve with coleslaw on the side.
