Sandwich Components

Method

Preparation Steps

  1. 1

    Grill the Picanha

Season the picanha steak with salt and pepper. Preheat the grill to medium-high heat, then grill the steak for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until it reaches your desired doneness. Remove from the grill and let it rest for 5 minutes before slicing.

  2. 2

    Caramelize the Onions

In a skillet, heat a tablespoon of oil over medium heat. Slice the onion and add it to the skillet. Cook, stirring frequently, for about 15-20 minutes until the onions are soft and caramelized. Set aside.

  3. 3

    Prepare the Vegetables

Slice the tomatoes and wash the mixed greens. Set them aside for assembly.

  4. 4

    Toast the Hoagie Rolls

Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Slice the hoagie rolls in half and place them on a baking sheet. Toast in the oven for about 5-7 minutes until lightly golden.

  5. 5

    Assemble the Sandwiches

On the bottom half of each hoagie roll, layer sliced picanha, tomato slices, mixed greens, caramelized onions, chimichurri sauce, and house dressing. Top with the other half of the roll.

  6. 6

Add Fried Eggs and Cheese (optional)

If desired, fry eggs to your preference and place one on top of each sandwich. Add a slice of cheese if desired and melt under the broiler for 1-2 minutes.
