Method
Preparation Instructions
- 1
Prepare the Cheesecake Base
Preheat your oven to 325°F (160°C). In a large mixing bowl, beat the cream cheese until smooth. Gradually add the sugar and cocoa powder, mixing until well combined. Add the vanilla extract and one egg at a time, beating well after each addition. Finally, fold in the heavy cream until fully integrated.
- 2
Bake the Cheesecake
Pour the cheesecake mixture into a greased 9-inch springform pan. Bake in the preheated oven for 45-50 minutes or until the center is set but still slightly jiggly. Turn off the oven and leave the cheesecake in the oven with the door ajar for 1 hour.
- 3
Cool and Refrigerate
Remove the cheesecake from the oven and let it cool to room temperature. Once cooled, cover and refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight.
- 4
Prepare Whipped Cream
In a mixing bowl, whip the heavy cream until soft peaks form. Add a little sugar if desired, and continue whipping until stiff peaks form.
- 5
Serve
To serve, slice the cheesecake and drizzle with chocolate sauce. Top with a dollop of softly whipped cream.
