Brownie Preparation

Melt the Butter
Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). In a saucepan, melt the unsalted butter over low heat.

Mix Sugars and Eggs
Remove from heat and stir in granulated sugar and brown sugar until well combined. Let it cool slightly, then beat in the eggs one at a time. Stir in the vanilla extract.

Combine Dry Ingredients
In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, and salt.

Combine Mixtures
Gradually add the dry ingredients to the butter mixture, stirring until just combined. Fold in the chocolate chips.

Bake
Pour the batter into a greased 9x13 inch baking pan. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.

Serve
Allow the brownies to cool slightly before cutting into squares. Serve warm with ice cream and drizzle with chocolate or caramel syrup as desired.
