Fried Chicken
Method
Preparation and Cooking
- 1
Marinate the Chicken
In a large bowl, combine soy sauce, sriracha sauce, garlic powder, ginger powder, and black pepper. Add chicken pieces and marinate for at least 30 minutes.
- 2
Prepare the Breading
In a shallow dish, set up a breading station with flour in one bowl and beaten eggs in another.
- 3
Bread the Chicken
Remove the chicken from the marinade, allowing excess to drip off. Dredge each piece in flour, dip in beaten eggs, and then back into the flour to coat thoroughly.
- 4
Fry the Chicken
In a large skillet or deep fryer, heat oil over medium-high heat. Once hot, carefully add breaded chicken pieces. Fry until golden brown and cooked through, about 8-10 minutes per side. Drain on paper towels.
- 5
Prepare the Fries
While the chicken is frying, cut potatoes into fries. Rinse and dry them. Fry the fries in the same oil until golden and crispy, about 4-5 minutes. Drain on paper towels and season with salt.
