Chicken Wings

Baltimore Sauce

Method

Preparation of Chicken Wings

  1. 1

    Prepare the Wings

Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C). In a large bowl, toss the chicken wings with baking powder, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and paprika until evenly coated.

  2. 2

    Arrange for Baking

Place the wings in a single layer on a wire rack set over a baking sheet. This allows air to circulate around the wings for even cooking.

  3. 3

    Bake the Wings

Bake the chicken wings in the preheated oven for 40-45 minutes, flipping them halfway through, until they are crispy and golden brown.

Making the Baltimore Sauce

  1. 4

    Melt the Butter

In a saucepan over medium heat, melt the stick of butter.

  2. 5

    Combine Ingredients

Once the butter is melted, stir in the Old Bay seasoning, hot sauce, honey, and vinegar. Mix well until all ingredients are combined and heated through.

  3. 6

    Simmer the Sauce

Let the sauce simmer for about 5 minutes, stirring occasionally to ensure it doesn’t stick to the bottom of the pan.

Final Assembly

  1. 7

    Toss the Wings

Once the wings are done baking, transfer them to a large bowl and pour the Baltimore sauce over them. Toss well to coat.

  2. 8

    Serve

Serve the wings hot with your favorite dipping sauce and celery sticks on the side.
