Method

Prepare Seafood

  1. 1

    Cook Shrimp

In a medium pot, bring salted water to a boil. Add the shrimp and cook for about 2-3 minutes until they turn pink and opaque. Remove and drain, then set aside to cool.

  2. 2

    Cook Scallops

In the same pot, add scallops and cook for about 3-4 minutes until they are opaque and firm. Remove, drain, and set aside to cool.

  3. 3

    Prepare Crab Meat

If using fresh crab meat, ensure it is picked over for shells. If using canned crab meat, drain and set aside.

Prepare Vegetables

  1. 4

    Chop Vegetables

In a large mixing bowl, combine the diced celery, diced red bell pepper, and finely chopped red onion.

  2. 5

    Add Lettuce

Gently fold the torn lettuce leaves into the vegetable mixture.

Make Dressing

  1. 6

    Combine Ingredients

In a separate bowl, whisk together mayonnaise, lemon juice, Dijon mustard, salt, black pepper, and Old Bay seasoning until smooth.

Combine Salad

  1. 7

    Mix Salad

Add the cooked shrimp, scallops, and crab meat to the vegetable mixture. Pour the dressing over the seafood and vegetables, and gently toss to combine everything evenly.

Serve

  1. 8

    Plate the Salad

Spoon the seafood salad onto plates or into bowls and serve immediately or chill in the refrigerator for 30 minutes before serving for a refreshing cold salad.
