Method

Cooking Pasta

  1. 1

    Boil Water

In a large pot, bring water to a boil. Add 1 tsp of salt to the water.

  2. 2

    Cook Pasta

Once the water is boiling, add the fettuccine pasta. Cook according to package instructions until al dente, usually about 10-12 minutes.

  3. 3

    Drain Pasta

Once cooked, drain the pasta and set aside, reserving a cup of pasta water.

Cooking Salmon

  1. 4

    Prepare Salmon

Season the salmon fillet with 0.5 tsp salt and 0.25 tsp black pepper.

  2. 5

    Heat Olive Oil

In a skillet over medium heat, add 1 tbs of olive oil.

  3. 6

    Cook Salmon

Add the seasoned salmon fillet to the skillet. Cook for 4-5 minutes on each side, or until it flakes easily with a fork. Remove from heat and let it rest.

Making Alfredo Sauce

  1. 7

    Melt Butter

In the same skillet used for the salmon, melt 1 tbs of butter over medium heat.

  2. 8

    Add Garlic

Add 2 tsp of minced garlic to the melted butter and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.

  3. 9

    Stir in Cream

Slowly pour in 1 cup of heavy cream, stirring continuously. Bring to a gentle simmer.

  4. 10

    Add Cheese and Seasonings

Stir in 1 cup of grated Parmesan cheese, 0.5 tsp salt, and 0.25 tsp black pepper. Continue stirring until the cheese has melted and the sauce is smooth.

Combining Ingredients

  1. 11

    Combine Pasta and Sauce

Add the drained fettuccine pasta to the Alfredo sauce. Toss to combine, adding reserved pasta water if needed to reach desired consistency.

  2. 12

    Flake Salmon

Flake the cooked salmon into large pieces and gently fold it into the pasta and sauce mixture.

  3. 13

    Garnish and Serve

Serve immediately, garnished with 2 tbs of chopped parsley.
