Crab Cakes
Lemon Butter Sauce
Method
Crab Cakes
- 1
Prepare the Mixture
In a large mixing bowl, combine the mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, Old Bay seasoning, lemon juice, green onions, salt, and pepper. Mix well until all ingredients are combined.
- 2
Add Crab and Bind
Gently fold in the jumbo lump crab meat and breadcrumbs, being careful not to break up the crab meat. Add the beaten egg and mix until just combined.
- 3
Form the Cakes
Using your hands, form the mixture into patties, about 1 inch thick. Place the formed crab cakes on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- 4
Chill
Cover the crab cakes with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to help them hold their shape during cooking.
- 5
Cook the Crab Cakes
In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Carefully add the crab cakes and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and heated through.
