Clean the Seafood
Rinse the clams and mussels under cold water, scrubbing the shells to remove any dirt. Discard any clams or mussels that are open and do not close when tapped.

Prepare the Ingredients
Chop the fresh basil and mince the garlic. Set aside.

Add Wine and Simmer
Pour in the white wine. Increase the heat to high and bring to a boil. Once boiling, reduce the heat to medium-low and cover the pot. Allow the seafood to cook for about 5-7 minutes, or until the clams and mussels open and the shrimp and scallops are cooked through.

Season and Finish
Remove the pot from the heat. Stir in the chopped fresh basil and season with salt and black pepper to taste. Discard any unopened clams or mussels.
Serving

Serve Hot
Ladle the seafood and broth into bowls and serve immediately. Enjoy with crusty bread for dipping!
