Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Cook the Fettuccine

In a large pot of boiling salted water, cook the fettuccine pasta according to package instructions until al dente, usually about 8-10 minutes. Stir occasionally to prevent sticking.

  2. 2

    Prepare the Alfredo Sauce

In a large skillet over medium heat, melt the unsalted butter. Once melted, add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1-2 minutes until fragrant, being careful not to burn the garlic.

  3. 3

    Add Cream and Cheese

Pour in the heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer. Reduce the heat to low and gradually whisk in the grated Parmesan cheese until melted and the sauce is smooth.

  4. 4

    Season the Sauce

Season the Alfredo sauce with salt and black pepper to taste. Stir well to combine the flavors.

  5. 5

    Combine Pasta and Sauce

Once the fettuccine is cooked, drain it and reserve a cup of pasta water. Add the pasta directly to the skillet with the Alfredo sauce. Toss to coat the pasta evenly with the sauce. If the sauce is too thick, add a little reserved pasta water until desired consistency is reached.

  6. 6

    Garnish and Serve

Remove the skillet from heat. Garnish with chopped fresh parsley and serve immediately while hot.
