Crab Balls
Cocktail Sauce
Method
Crab Balls
- 1
Prepare the Mixture
In a large mixing bowl, combine the crab meat, bread crumbs, cream cheese, egg, chopped green onion, Worcestershire sauce, mustard, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. Mix until well combined.
- 2
Form the Balls
Using your hands, form the mixture into small balls, about 1 inch in diameter. Place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- 3
Heat the Oil
In a deep frying pan, heat the oil over medium-high heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C).
- 4
Fry the Crab Balls
Carefully drop the crab balls into the hot oil, a few at a time, making sure not to overcrowd the pan. Fry until golden brown, about 3-4 minutes. Remove and drain on paper towels.
Cocktail Sauce
- 5
Mix the Sauce
In a small bowl, combine the ketchup, horseradish, lemon juice, Worcestershire sauce, and hot sauce. Stir until well blended.
- 6
Adjust Seasoning
Taste the sauce and adjust seasoning if necessary, adding more horseradish or hot sauce for extra heat.
