Pasta

Method

Pasta Preparation

  1. 1

    Cook the Pasta

Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the fettuccine pasta and cook according to package instructions until al dente, usually about 8-10 minutes. Once cooked, reserve 1 cup of pasta water, then drain the pasta.

Chicken Preparation

  1. 2

    Prepare the Chicken

While the pasta cooks, season the chicken breasts with salt, black pepper, and garlic powder. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the chicken breasts and cook for about 6-7 minutes on each side until cooked through and no longer pink in the center. Remove from heat, let rest for a few minutes, then slice into strips.

Alfredo Sauce Preparation

  1. 3

    Make the Alfredo Sauce

In the same skillet used for the chicken, melt the butter over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant. Pour in the heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer, stirring frequently. Gradually add the grated Parmesan cheese, stirring until melted and the sauce thickens, about 2-3 minutes. If the sauce is too thick, add reserved pasta water a little at a time until desired consistency is reached.

Combine and Serve

  1. 4

    Combine and Serve

Add the cooked fettuccine pasta and sliced chicken to the Alfredo sauce, tossing until well coated. Stir in chopped parsley for garnish. Serve immediately with extra Parmesan cheese on the side.
