Chicken Wings
Method
Preparation
- 1
Prepare the Chicken Wings
Rinse the chicken wings under cold water and pat them dry with paper towels. Place them in a large bowl.
- 2
Make the Seasoned Batter
In a separate bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper. Mix well to ensure an even distribution of spices.
- 3
Coat the Wings
Sprinkle the seasoned flour mixture over the chicken wings, tossing to coat them evenly. Ensure each wing is thoroughly coated.
Cooking
- 4
Heat the Oil
In a deep fryer or large pot, heat the vegetable oil to 350°F (175°C). Use a thermometer to check the temperature for best results.
- 5
Fry the Wings
Carefully add the coated chicken wings to the hot oil in batches, ensuring not to overcrowd the pot. Fry for about 10-12 minutes until golden brown and crispy. Use a slotted spoon to remove the wings and drain them on paper towels.
Buffalo Sauce
- 6
Make the Buffalo Sauce
In a small saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter. Once melted, add the hot sauce and stir to combine. Heat for about 2-3 minutes until warmed through.
- 7
Toss the Wings
Place the fried chicken wings in a large bowl and pour the buffalo sauce over them. Toss well to ensure each wing is coated in the sauce.
Serving
- 8
Serve
Transfer the coated chicken wings to a serving platter. Serve hot with celery sticks and blue cheese dressing on the side, if desired.
