Preparing the Bean Dip Base

Heat the Olive Oil
In a medium saucepan, heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil over medium heat.

Combine Ingredients
Add 2 cups of refried beans to the saucepan along with garlic powder, cumin, chili powder, salt, and black pepper.

Stir and Heat
Stir the mixture well to combine all the ingredients and heat until warm, about 5-7 minutes.

Adjust Seasoning
Taste and adjust seasoning if necessary, adding more salt or spices to suit your preference.
Creating the Amigo Dip Topping

Prepare Toppings
In a mixing bowl, combine 1 cup of sour cream and 0.5 cup of salsa. Mix until well combined.

Add Cheese and Vegetables
Fold in 1 cup of shredded cheese, 0.25 cup of sliced jalapeños (if using), and 0.5 cup of chopped green onions into the sour cream and salsa mixture.
Assembling the Bean Dip

Layer the Dip
In a serving dish, spread the warm bean mixture evenly on the bottom. Top with the Amigo dip mixture.

Sprinkle fresh cilantro on top for garnish.
