Burrito Preparation
- 1
Cook the Meat
In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until it's browned. Drain any excess fat. If using the shredded beef, cooked chicken, or pork, ensure they are warmed through.
- 2
Mix the Filling
In a large mixing bowl, combine the cooked meat, refried beans, and shredded cheese. Mix well until all ingredients are evenly incorporated.
- 3
Prepare the Tortillas
Warm the flour tortillas in a microwave or on a skillet for about 30 seconds to make them pliable.
- 4
Assemble the Burritos
On each tortilla, spoon a quarter of the filling mixture and roll it up tightly. Place seam side down in a baking dish.
Saucing and Baking
- 5
Add Sauce and Cheese
Pour the enchilada sauce evenly over the assembled burritos, then sprinkle additional shredded cheese on top.
- 6
Bake the Burritos
Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil and bake for 20 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 10 minutes until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
